A serene retreat, thoughtfully crafted as an escape from urban life, a place to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with nature. Our vision was to create a structure that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings while minimising environmental impact.

The main living space features tall, open rammed earth walls, framing expansive views of the valley below. This material not only grounds the structure in nature but also provides thermal insulation, promoting energy efficiency.

Two smaller structures, housing private bedrooms, encircle a central courtyard with a pool. Together, these three forms create a harmonious layout, fostering both privacy and a sense of connection to the landscape. The structures are unified under sweeping, organic roofs that enhance the design’s aesthetic appeal while serving a functional purpose, harvesting rainwater to sustain the Koi ponds.

Furthermore, sustainable systems, such as passive cooling and natural ventilation, have been integrated to ensure the building is self-sufficient and comfortable year-round. The thoughtful selection of materials, the carefully curated layout, and the integration of sustainable practices all reflect our commitment to creating a sanctuary that honours and enhances its natural environment.
